Events by EventfulAroma Wine Experience
Winemaker and wine writer Bryan Calandrelli leads an experience of six thoughtfully selected wines in the casual company of Trattoria Aroma's Wine Bar in Williamsville, NY. In sixty minutes you'll experience six wines with assorted small bites from the kitchen as we discuss what we like and don't like. These tastings can be fun, tasty and educational as our goal is to pour wines that you've never tried or never knew existed. The Fall Season's Setlist is ready and waiting for you to make our second season as successful as the first. 10/22 Southern Hemisphere: It's a bizarro place where harvest starts in February and the 2014 growing season is already underway. Down is the new up when climates get even cooler the further south you go in regions like Chile, South Africa, Argentina, New Zealand and maybe even Australia. 10/29 Savage Wines: If there were wines that were fit for a full moon, these savage and animalistic reds would be them. We're sampling dark, inky, opaque reds that are raw and rustic with substantial weight and tannin. Yes, we know it's Halloween time and these wines will have you howling for more. 11/12 Organic, Biodynamic and Sustainable: It's the genre where tree huggers and marketers share in a cathartic press release promoting wines that claim to be earth friendlier than their slash and burn cousins across the wine store aisle. 11/26 Not Your Momma's Turkey Wine: If you're someone that gets more excited about wine pairings than Aunt Judy's stuffing balls then you won't want to miss this tasting where we will treat Turkey day accordingly – like the Superbowl of wine dinners. 12/03 Island Wines: If wine has the power to take you to another time and place then why not let that place be an island getaway. We're selecting wines from sun soaked Mediterranean destinations like Sicily, Sardinia and the Greek Isles because airfare is just too darn expensive. 12/17 Holiday Prescriptions: Your Secret Santa is choosing winter weight reds and maybe some spicy whites that'll be perfect for impressing your boss, appeasing wine-collecting father-in-law or keeping your yule log ablaze.
