Like most professional athletes, Dale Earnhardt Jr will head to a career in broadcasting after he retires. One of the most famous drivers in NASCAR will turn 43 this October and has plans to stop racing at the end of the 2017 season in November.

It was announced this week that "Jr." will cover NASCAR on the NBC network.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will not only report on racing, he will also be involved in some way during the NFL season as well as The Olympics on NBC.

According to a release from NBC Sports Group, the deal will give Earnhardt opportunities in other areas, such as movies, television and podcasts.
