Last year, Courtney Love was a no-show in London at an impromptu gig by her revived band, Hole.

Last week, Love served as a pinch hitter of sorts when another notable and controversial rocker, Motley Crue singer Vince Neil, backed out of his scheduled pre-Fashion Week performance in New York.

Neil was lined up to rock the One Management modeling agency’s 10th anniversary party at Hiro Ballroom on Sept. 6. But two days prior, he backed out, reportedly due to falling ill and losing his voice.

In stepped Love, a good friend of Scott Lipps, who founded One Management in 2002. Lipps played drums for Love, whose set included a version of ‘Skinny Little Bitch,’ which she dedicated to estranged daughter Frances Bean Cobain.
