How to Lose a Job in Just 3 Hours: Chris Lee Update

How do you lose a prestigious political position in just 3 hours? Send a shirtless photo in response to a Craigslist personal ad, deny you did it, then resign in shame. That’s how things apparently went down this afternoon for Christopher Lee, after the Internet tabloid Gawker.com posted a picture, allegedly of the congressman shirtless, along with a thread of emails an unidentified woman claimed were his. By 6 pm the Congressman from the 26th District had resigned. Although, Lee never admitted to the photo or attempting to pick up a woman other than his wife, he did say in his statement that he had made “profound mistakes”.  The Buffalo News has additonal coverage.
