92.9 Jack FM — New Look, Still Playing What We Want
This week's been a little crazy. I've spent a lot of late nights in our dumpy little studio being an internet nerd. But after seeing our new site design launch, I think it was worth it.

Christmastime is supposed to be "the most wonderful time of the year," but for those Buffalo children with no permanent family, there is no Christmas cheer. But 92.9 Jack FM is doing something positive to help.
Jack's Sticker Pimps were out in full force this morning (November 17) spreading holiday cheer. No, not that holiday -- Thanksgiving of course!
Well, rather than get drunk again and prank the lady on the Butterball hotline, Jack decided to get our turkey on again this year with our third Freebird Stick Up. It's part of our Coalition to Save Thanksgiving (a member of the World Turkey Federation or W.T.F.). The first 50 cars that roll through the Eastern Hills Mall this Saturday, November 17, at 10 a.m. by Sears get the bird from Jack FM.
The Coalition to Save Thanksgiving has a crackpot design team behind the scenes. These bad boys went up all over town today, so be sure to give us a call if you see one!
This morning (November 8), Taste of Home Cooking School Culinary Specialist Michael Barna set up residence in the 'Winging It!' kitchen to prepare his recipe for Mexican Shrimp Bisque.
It's baaaaack!
The Coalition to Save Thanksgiving is all about raising awareness while having fun. The best way we can think of to do that? Hand turkeys!
The abundance of costumed folks at the Hyatt on Friday night (October 26) weren't celebrating Halloween -- although they would have fit right in with the rest of the holiday revelers. Rather, the disco dresses, bell bottoms and afros were all for our Retro Disco Dance Party.
Perfection -- that's one word that describes a Rush show. Technically flawless, Rush has managed to lead their fans on a sonic journey, only last night at the First Niagara Center, Rush made an even bolder statement. Forty years after the release of their first album and a few weeks removed from being nominated for the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame, the power trio proved they still "have it" by showcasing songs from the recently released Clockwork Angels album.
This Saturday (October 27), the Town Ballroom will transform into the biggest and best Halloween party in Buffalo! With over $1,500 in cash prizes for the costume contest, this is one party you do not want to miss.
There aren't many bands that can quote Shakespeare, sing about magical places and mysticism and even reference the Hobbit. Rush is that band, which is why Rush fanatics like myself have been labeled a bit nerdy.
