The Captain & Tennille Are Getting Divorced!

Love couldn't keep them together.

The Captain (Daryl Dragon) and Tennille (Toni Tennille) are getting a divorce after 39 years of marriage. No official word on why, but health concerns from The Captain seem to play a part.

It all seems very odd, and no one is talking, but if you grew up in the mid- to late '70s, this couple was everything you wanted Mom and Dad to be -- or maybe an older brother and sister: fun and cute, and they had so many hits, including the song of the year, "Love Will Keep Us Together".

They even had their own TV show for a year or so in 1976, as was the norm for pop stars of the day.
