Before you know it, the 115th Annual YMCA Turkey Trot will be trotting down Delaware Ave. It kicks off at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning.

One of the reasons the Turkey Trot is so popular is because racers dont need to be experienced runners. In fact, it is often encouraged that racers dress in silly costumes. Many just take part to go to the post-party after the race at the Convention Center. But if you're a serious runner, they'll give you a timing chip and let you start near the front. If you actually run like a turkey, you'll be pushed to the back of the line. You'll still get a timing chip, so you can share your 14-minute mile with your proud mother over Thanksgiving dinner.

Sign up here, but you only have until Saturday (November 19), and they are capping the number of racers at 12,500 this year. For more info on how the Turkey Trot helps lots of kids every year, watch the YMCA video below.
