Could it be? Yes, my friend, yes it can. According to the  Buffalo News the on again, off-again Buffalo Waterfront Development project is on again. Although the vision isn't as grand as the Bass Pro (which we knew would never happen anyway), a smaller, more agile plan should help the waterfront rise from the ashes. With shops, restaurants and extending the Central Wharf planners used public participation to develop a new plan and more importantly kept Larry Quinn out of the process.

When Bass Pro Shops pulled the plug on coming to Buffalo's waterfront last summer, the waterfront agency in charge of development was in a bind.It had little to show after years of putting its eggs in the big-box basket, no clear way forward and were criticized in some quarters for designing a project that lacked authenticity and creative thinking.
