Brace yourselves: Black Friday is coming.

When the turkey coma has worn off and the clock strikes midnight, the season switches from turkey time to holiday cheer with the biggest shopping day of the year.

If you’re looking to catch the best deals this season and are willing to fight with other shoppers for the newest game console, then plan on heading out on the 29th for your seasonal shopping.

Here is some information about local mall and department store Black Friday business hours and locations. And we’ll add to the list as the information becomes available to us.

Shopping Malls

Open on Black Friday 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. According to Boulevard’s calendar, there are over 45 stores opening at 12 a.m. Check individual store pages for more details.

The Eastern Hills Mall will be open at 8pm on Thanksgiving with All dept stores opened and many local and national stores. Some will be opened at midnight through 9pm on Friday

Fashion Outlets will be closed most of Thanksgiving Day but opens at 8 p.m. for the “Fashionably Late” Sale. The outlets will close normal hours at 9 p.m. on Friday night.

McKinley Mall is opening at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving night and staying open straight through until 9 p.m. on Friday

Walden Galleria will be open on Black Friday 12 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Department Stores

Best Buy is starting its Black Friday hours on Thanksgiving at 6 p.m.

JCPenney has a Black Friday start time of 8 p.m. on Thursday night. Considering all JCPenney stores in the Buffalo area are inside malls, we recommend double-checking with the store to make sure you’ll be able to get in outside of mall hours.

Kmart’s first set of Black Friday Doorbuster Deals are starting 6 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving night details will go from 7 p.m. – 3 a.m., and then the official Black Friday deals will go from 6 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Friday.

Kohl’s will be starting its Black Friday hours on Thanksgiving night at 8 p.m.

Macy’s has a Black Friday start time of 8 p.m. on Thursday night. Considering all Macy’s stores in the Buffalo area are inside malls, we recommend double-checking with the store to make sure you’ll be able to get in outside of mall hours.

Target will be opening 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving night for Black Friday, and the sale will take place in stores and at Target.com until Saturday, November 30. Online, the store will also feature -- for the first time -- 15 online-only daily deals for two weeks beginning Sunday, November 24.

Sears has a Black Friday start time of 8 p.m. on Thursday night. Considering all Sears stores in the Buffalo area are inside malls, we recommend double-checking with the store to make sure you’ll be able to get in outside of mall hours.

Walmart stores are open 24 hours anyway, so no need to get in line for the sales. Instead, there will be special events starting on Thanksgiving at 6 p.m., as well as throughout the day on Friday, for unique online and in-store specials.
