Yesterday WNY got hammered with rain which resulted in flooding throughout the area. It rain so much  that Buffalo actually set a new record for rainfall.

The National Weather Service reported 2.29 inches of rainfall yesterday in  Buffalo which set a new record for the "daily maximum rainfall". The old record was set in 1956 with 1.86 inches of rain. That is a lot of water!

We're also creeping towards another record with the temperature of the Lake Erie. It currently sits at 77 degrees with the record being 80 and the last time the lake came close to that temperature was in 1993 when the lake hit 76 degrees.
