929 JACK FM is going live to attempt a world record at The Taste Of Lockport on July 5thWe'd be lying if we said it wasn't to be the first radio station to hold a world record in Western New York... so we'll distract you with cake instead.

The current record for most people singing live on a radio broadcast stands at 6,689 singers. On July 5th in Lockport we plan to shatter that record... but it is going to take a lot more than the 5 listeners we have. So spread the word!

It's your chance to take part in a once in a lifetime Western New York Event... that you can annoy your kids with stories about for years to come.

"Did I ever tell you about the time I won a world" "YES DAD!!! You have!"

The song “Low Bridge” will be sung by the attendees of the event who want to be part of the record attempt at 4:11 PM on July 5th on Main St.

The attempt at a record for Guinness World Records was added to the Lockport Business Associations 15th Annual Taste of Lockport when its usual date in August was changed to July 5th.  The Taste will be the culminating event to the city’s Sesquicentennial Celebration Lockport 150 beginning on June 27th.

A resolution by the Lockport Common Council was passed allowing for street closures, including Main St., up to and including Ida Fritz Park.  Expanding for the event allows for more restaurants and additions of the Kid Zone, culinary demonstrations and entertainment on two stages.  Applications for vendor participants and contributors will be accepted until June.
