The Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park will celebrate Veterans Day by hosting a Wall of Honor Ceremony as six Western New Yorkers are inducted and recognized for their service to their country and community! Get the details here!

The WNY inductees are:

Dolores Kwiatkowski, a 36-year Naval Park employee.
Monsignor Dino Lorenzetti served as a Staff Sargent in the Army.
Edmund Mozgawa served as petty officer second class in the U.S. Navy.
Jeremiah Reilly served as a Gunner’s Mate, Third Class in the U.S. Navy.
Gerald Sansone enlisted in the at just 17 years old.
Sgt. Harry Uhl was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.

The ceremony will include speeches from family members of Wall of Honor Inductees; a proclamation read by Erie County Legislator Joseph Lorigo; and remarks from Board Chairman Don Alessi and Naval Park Executive Director Captain Brian Roche. The public is invited to attend.

A special invitation will be announced to any Veteran who visits the Park on Veteran’s Day, Saturday, Nov. 11., free admission from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with proper I.D.

The Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park’s mission is to foster the development in the community of an appreciation of the U.S. Armed Forces by promoting visits to the Park and by taking part in activities related directly or indirectly to military affairs (Honor Veterans). It also aims to promote and foster an interest in historic Armed Forces artifacts of this nation (Inspire Citizens).
