The hype and excitement surrounding the Buffalo Bisons home opener has consistently increased since the team announced its 2024 schedule.

The Herd is getting ready to start its 139th season of Buffalo Baseball in downtown Buffalo as the team opens the season against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at 2:05 pm on Friday, March 29, 2024. This will mark the earliest the team has started its season at home, and regardless of how the weather looks at Sahlen Field on Friday, Buffalo is ready for some baseball.

Not only do the Herd have plenty of great things in store for Buffalo throughout the entire year, but the team has decided the best way to kick off the season is to have a big-time Buffalo playmaker throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Brandon Beane, the Buffalo Bills' general manager, will be on hand at Sahlen Field to help the Bisons kick off the season in style. Big Baller Beane, who has been the architect of the Bills' resurgence over the past seven years, is sure to have the crowd going wild at the stadium.

The Bisons, opening the season at home, will be in Buffalo for the entire weekend, with games on Friday, Saturday, and Easter Sunday. There is much to look forward to this baseball season at the ballpark. In addition to opening day, the Bison are set to play 75 games at home, covering 13 weekends and more than 30 games in June, July, and August. More than 50% of this season's home games will be on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, so you will have more opportunities to catch the team over one of Buffalo's great weekends.

I don't know about you, but I am beyond excited for this baseball season. The entire team schedule and additional details about this year's season are on the Bisons website.
