I gotta admit, I'm a little disappointed with the Bills pick. I threw an f-bomb at the screen when Tampa Bay took Linebacker Luke Kuechly the pick before. The Bills got a good player in Stephon Gilmore, NFL network analyst Mike Mayock had him graded as the 8th best player in the draft, but I really coveted Kuechly. The Dallas Cowboys moved up to get the player they wanted and picked the best corner in the draft. The Bills got the second best. I wanted the top linebacker and a nasty front seven. Is that so wrong?

With Tom Brady in the division it makes sense to go corner, but it's such a hit or miss position in the draft. Leodis McKelvin and Aaron Williams haven't exactly set the world on fire. McKelvin was picked 11th overall and Williams 34th overall. Both have underwhelmed. The Bills need a difference maker who can make an immediate impact. They should have moved up to get Kuechly or Morris Claiborne or Mark Barron. The best player on the board might have been Defensive Tackle Fletcher Cox, who would have provided insurance in the middle of the defensive line. Or they could have picked up Wide Receiver Michael Floyd who would have given Ryan Fitzpatrick a big, physical target.

Time will tell if Gilmore was the right pick, but the Bills can't afford to be wrong. Hopefully, they'll get Tackle Jonathan Martin in the second round or one of the monster first round linebackers drop into the second.
