The Buffalo Bills had won four straight home games under first year coach Sean McDermott, but oh, that fifth game.  The Bills were thoroughly beaten and embarrassed by the red-hot New Orleans Saints 47-10.  Believe it or not, it was not the most lopsided loss in Bills history.  You'd have to go back 10 years ago to November 18, 2007 when the Bills lost 56-10 to the New England Patriots.

Embarrassing and unacceptable were some of the words being used in the Bills locker room after the game.  The stats certainly bare that out.  The Saints rolled up 32 first downs, 482 total yards, 298 of those yards were rushing.  The Saints had two 100-yard rushers.  Mark Ingram ran for 131 yards and three touchdowns.  And the Saints dominated time of possession 41 and a half minutes to 18 and a half minutes.

The Bills opened the scoring with a 37-yard field goal, but the Saints rolled off 47 straight points before the Bills answered with a meaningless touchdown in the final two minutes.  The Bills were held to just 198 total yards for the game.  Tyrod Taylor was only 9 of 18 passing for just 56 yards.  Kelvin Benjamin playing his first game in a Bills uniform led the team with six catches.

Reeling from their loss to the Jets 10 days before, the Bills put in an even worse effort against the Saints.  The Bills just had no answers for what the Saints did.  At one point with the game well in hand the Saints ran off 24 straight running plays to kill the clock and the Bills just couldn't stop them.

For the fans who stayed until the end the most exciting part of the game came in the fourth quarter when a streaker ran down the middle of the field displaying his shortcomings.  He surrendered to police in the end zone, symbolic of what the Bills did against the Saints.

Having lost their last two games the Bills now stand 5-4.  Tyrod Taylor said as a team they have to regroup, refocus and find a way to correct what they're doing wrong.  They have their next chance to make some progress in regrouping next week in Los Angeles against the Chargers.
