The University of Buffalo won in a rout while St. Bonaventure, who won their play-in game on Tuesday were knocked out of the NCAA Basketball Tournament on Thursday night.  For U-B it was a historic game; their first-ever win in the national championship tourney.

The #13 seeded Bulls led by as many as 25 points in an 89-68 upset of the heavily favored #4 seed Arizona Wildcats in Boise, Idaho.  Bulls coach Nate Oates coming into the game said his team was NOT the underdog and they certainly played up to his expectations. It was the biggest upset of the night and may hold up as the upset of the tournament.

Guards Wes Clark and Jeremy Harris led the way for the Bulls.  Clark with 25 points and Harris chipped in 23.

It just may go to prove that U-B may have been seeded too low and the tournament committee underestimated just how good a team they are.

It'll get even tougher for the Bulls when their next challenge is the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday.

Meanwhile #11 seed St. Bonaventure's season came to an end in a 77-62 loss to #6 seed Florida in Dallas, Texas.  Courtney Stockard led the Bonnies with 14 points.  But congratulations to the Bonnies on a great season.
