Coinciding with today's release of The Ties That Bind, a mammoth box set commemorating The River, Bruce Springsteen has announced a tour for early 2016. You can see all the dates below.

The two-month stretch confirms rumors that the tour was going to be a shorter-than-usual road trip for Springsteen. It will begin on Jan. 16 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh and conclude with two nights at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. He'll once again offer downloads of all the shows on the live section of his website.

Because Springsteen has named the tour after his 1980 album, there's a strong possibility that many of its songs, as well as some of the previously unreleased tracks found on The Ties That Bind, will be spotlighted. But Springsteen famously changes his set lists from night to night, so there's no telling what to expect. He's stripped back the E Street Band this time, with no horns (besides Jake Clemons' saxophone) or backup singers, as had been the case on the previous two tours.

Tickets for all dates will go on sale Dec. 11. Visit Springsteen's website for complete information. Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform on Saturday Night Live on Dec. 19. He has previously appeared on the show in 1992 and 2002.
