Already, I'm trying to figure out the signature call that Rick Jeanerette has planned for the newest Buffalo Sabre Brad Boyes. "Oh, Boyes", "The Boyes are back in town", "Who likes Boyes?". Alright, maybe not that last one.

Boyes is a former 40 goal scorer, and is already second on the team in points behind Thomas Vanek. He was dealt to Buffalo last night for a second round draft pick, showing that the new Sabres Regime isn't afraid to deal away future picks for winning now. The NHL trading deadline is the best day of the year for hockey fans and likely the worst for players. So much fun to see who is going to end up where by the end of the day, and the Sabres are buyers this year making it extra special. They have until 4 pm to make additional moves. You can get up to the minute updates from the NHL here.

Hoping to bolster their offense, the Buffalo Sabres acquired forward Brad Boyes from the St. Louis Blues on Sunday night in exchange for a second-round pick at the 2011 Entry Draft.
