Brandon Frontuto, 21, of Buffalo, was sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to 18 ½ years in prison, according to a press release from the office of Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr.

In May, Frontuto pleaded guilty to Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and two counts of Attempted Burglary in the Third Degree for his involvement in four separate crimes dating back to September 2015.

  • On September 7, 2015, the defendant burglarized a home in Cheektowaga.
  • On November 13, 2015, he committed a robbery and shooting at an auto repair shop in Buffalo, injuring one victim.
  • On November 14, 2015, he burglarized the Pierce Arrow building in Buffalo, stealing tools and other property.
  • On February 18, 2016, during a traffic stop by Buffalo Police, officers found an illegal shortened shotgun in the defendant’s vehicle.
