When we were 6 me and a few friends owned the  block in good ole North Buffalo. We were a roving bike gang, wait, make that a trike gang. We had Big Wheels and we knew how to ride.

The stretch between Hertel and The Buffalo Zoo was our stomping ground and no one would dare mess with us, until it was time to head home and wash up for dinner...then it was back to the streets, until it got dark and the street lights came on.

Getting a Big Wheel for your 6th birthday was almost as cool as getting your drivers license when you turn 16.  It gave you that sense of freedom, and at that age we were fearless. Luckily North Buffalo doesn't have any hills like in this video. If it did, I would have spent alot more time in a cast instead of tearing down Wellington Rd with my crew.
