Best Coast Cover Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Storms’ on ‘Fallon’
Best Coast must be in a Fleetwood Mac state of mind these days — fresh off covering ‘Rhiannon’ for an upcoming tribute album, the band appeared on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ to perform one of the Mac’s greatest hits.
For their appearance on Tuesday (July 17), Best Coast delivered their rendition of ‘Storms,’ originally recorded for Fleetwood Mac’s 1979 ‘Tusk’ album. It’s a song familiar to the band — they previously covered it for a 7″ single released to independent record stores in conjunction with their most recent release, ‘The Only Place.’
Best Coast’s cover of ‘Rhiannon,’ meanwhile, will be available in stores on Aug. 14, along with the rest of ‘Just Tell Me That You Want Me,’ the all-star Fleetwood Mac tribute record being released by Hear Music. Other performers include the New Pornographers (covering ‘Think About Me’), Lykke Li (doing ‘Silver Springs’), and MGMT (‘Future Games’).
