The date is set.  The meeting place has been announced.  The World Naked Bike Ride is making it's way back to Buffalo.

Yes, you read that right.  It's the World Naked Bike Ride and it's coming back to Buffalo for its 4th year now.

The goal is to peacefully expose the vulnerability of cyclists and celebrate freedom from oil and the beauty of people.

According to WIVB, the ride is 12 miles long and riders are asked to ride "as bare as they dare" and meet at the Edward M. Cotter fireboat between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.on Sunday.

There will be a private party after the ride for participants.

 

What are the rules?  According to the facebook page:

- DRUGS | BOOZE = arrest.

- SHY? Stay towards center.
CHIVALROUS? Guard our flanks.

- YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE!
Be prepared, stay alert, take care, help others.

- Obey police and thank them for their help.
In NYS, it is 100% legal for all humans to be totally top free in public, the rule does not necessarily apply for anything shown under the belt.
Goodies may target ticketing. Bare at your risk.

- PARTICIPANTS must utilize Person-Powered Wheels

- NO PHOTOS in our before/after space (xcpt auth'd)
Assume that you will be photographed on ride.

- Arrive CLOTHED&SHOED and carry weather options.
NO GLASS! RECYCLE cans. Bring refillables.

LEAVE NO TRACE!!! PICK IT UP and PACK IT OUT!!!
