Just when we thought we were over the 2003 passing of Mister Rogers, a man named Christopher Barranco dug up a letter from the children’s show star that he received at age six and posted it to Reddit. In it, the late Fred Rogers expresses his condolences that Christopher cannot visit his neighborhood in real life, but they can still have “television visits and a letter visit like this one.” Even more sniffle-inducing is Rogers’ suggestion that he create a pretend visit between the two, noting that, “When you pretend, things can be any way you want them to be.” Read the full letter below:
