Bret Michaels, most known for being the lead singer of the 80's band Poison, is gathering a star filled guest list to contribute to his latest solo album, Get Your Rock On.

Michaels is reportedly trying to recruit Stevie Nicks, Def Leppard's Joe Elliot and Phil Collen, and even members of Lynyrd Skynyrd to collaborate on his new album. If everthing goes well, he hopes to release the first single by the end of this year. Even though Michaels is drawing help from some of the most celebrated names in 80's rock, don't expect the album to contain many covers of past hits. "I'd rather write some original stuff and have a really great song and then have someone else perform it with me. So that's what we're shooting for," Michaels said.

If all the artists actually agree to work with Bret, this could definitely be one of those "must own" albums.
