It could be agrued that "Eddie," the monster that graces the cover of every Iron Maiden album, is as big a part of the iconic metal band as its members. Eddie and the artwork of Iron Maiden have made the band legendary in metal circles and angered lots of moms and advocacy groups along the way.
Don't go in the water! An article in today's Buffalo Newsconfirms what we've all been suspecting: Woodlawn Beach is one of the most polluted beaches in the country. Still, it's not odd to find some 200 cars parked on the site and a packed beach as Western New Yorkers try and beat the heat.
Steven Tyler has beat Jennifer Lopez to the punch, quitting American Idol today (Thursday, July 12). A statement from Fox confirms that Tyler is departing the show. Poor Randy Jackson -- doesn't anybody want to be on this show anymore?
Mick Jagger has gained a reputation for his ability to bed some severe hotties, and over the weekend, an excerpt from his new biography Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger detailed his affair with model and future French First Lady, Carla Bruni, and his obsession with a young Angelina Jolie, who starred in the 1997 Rolling Stones video, “Anybody Seen My Baby.”
The book also alledges that Mick had a long-term love affair with David Bowie. If you’ve ever watched the “Dancing in the Streets” video, they're nearly making love to each other (it's also very funny), so that revelation may just be the world’s worst-kept secret.
"Rumor has it" that Adele is seven months pregnant and that her next album will be a nursery rhyme album for her baby. ("Rumor has it" -- get it?? Uh...never mind.)
So before that happens, enjoy listening to this pet-ody song from a pooch belting out Adele's "Rolling in the Deep." Then sing along with Corgi Rae Jepsen on "Call Me Maybe" -- God knows it's less annoying than the actual song!
We Play What We Want, so we have nobody to blame but ourselves when the complaints start coming in. We can verify that Jack FM never repeats a song all day (although that Carly Rae Jepsen diddy is pretty catchy, and we can understand why it gets played 150 times a week by other other Buffalo radio stations)
