Do Companies Have Little Respect for National Holidays?
Let me start off by saying that I really do love my job. But guess what? That doesn’t mean that I want to work five days a week every week. Hence, I’m wondering the name of the d-bag who decided he’d have his employees work on a national holiday?
I know some of you have off today to “celebrate” Columbus Day

80 Degrees This Weekend, Now This Is Fall
The temperature is supposed to reach near 80 degrees this weekend*. Awesome. If this was normal for fall, I’d be all about celebrating the season.
But lately, the weather’s been truly fall-like, which leads me to the question, why does everyone like fall so much?

Fitzpatrick’s Time to Shine
Today, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Buffalo Bills take on the struggling Cincinnati Bengals. And you better believe that The Beard is looking to wreak havoc on his former team.
Of course I’m rooting for the Bills, but I’m really hoping that Fitzmagic can shove it down their throats. It’s funny how things work out and I’m glad that the Bengals didn’t see his potential. That gave us a chance to give him a chance (why did we ever start Trent Edwards over him?) and while it hasn’t always been pretty, the Amish Rifle has shown he is the man.

The Streets Aren’t Safe Anymore
My 14-year-old sister called me the other day. She was so excited. Turns out, she got her learner’s permit. Yes, that’s right. She’s 14. And she has a permit. Now granted, she lives in Florida, but still, she’s 14! Isn’t that a little early to be given the right to drive? I don’t care if an adult accompanies her. I remember the stupid stuff I did when I drove at 16, let alone 14.

Top Ten Reason Why I Hate The New England Patriots
Unless you’ve recently just landed on earth, you know that I cannot stand teams from Boston. My number one hated team of all time is, of course, the New England Patriots.
With these jerks taking the field against the Bills today, I thought what better way to kick-off the tailgating than with a top 10 list of reasons to hate the Patriots. (Sidebar: I co

Tanning is Really Bad For You, Especially in Daytona.
Did you hear about the poor sunbathing mother who was run over by a lifeguard truck? As if UVA rays weren’t bad enough, now we need to worry about getting crushed as we try to achieve a healthy glow

Buffalo Bills Home Opener Weekend
Let me first start by saying that I am writing this before kickoff. My hopes are still high and I’m pretty sure we’re going to the Super Bowl this year.

If You Supply Booze, They Will Come
Last night I went to a fund-raising event for a local club. It was the organization’s most successful event ever. This club, which I am purposefully not naming, has been around for years, but has had little success at its events. Its members couldn’t understand why happy hours and meetings were poorly attended. Now they know.

It’s The Best and Worst Time of Year – Football Season Begins
I was super excited to write this blog. Football season is awesome and after a painful off-season, I am stoked for opening weekend. It’s a time of year when us Bills fans still have hope. We’re still (kind of) optimistic

They’ll Put Anything On TV
This may be old news to you, but I haven’t had television in months (and what a long period of time it’s been!). My husband fired up our TV for the first time since April and landed on a show called “Don’t Forget the Lyrics

Summer’s Over and So is Life.
Yes, I know. The first day of fall isn’t until the end of the month. But really, it’s Tuesday. The summer always dies after Labor Day, for me at least.

Why I Think Bean-Town Sucks
Many of you may not have heard of the MLL – Major League Lacrosse – but it does exist. I hadn’t heard of it before last week either, so don’t feel bad. And I only know of it because I have a friend who plays in it. The short story is that it’s an outdoor men’s (of course) lacrosse league.
