Jack FM Staff
From what we've heard, it sounds like Chuck, our Jack's Day Off winner, is enjoying his time running 92.9 Chuck FM as much as we're enjoying our time not running 92.9 Jack FM. Check out the photos below to see what we mean. He's got fans, a billboard and a station vehicle! Wait a sec -- where's our free car?!
From what we've seen on Twitter, Jack is very much enjoying his day off. It's a good thing we've got Chuck, our Jack's Day Off winner, to hold it down at the studio for the day.
Finally a holiday for the ladies! Today is National Stupid Guy Thing Day, which means us girls can vent about all the stupid things guys do. A couple of our female interns took a survey and put together a list in spirit of this national holiday
When Chuck, our Jack's Day Off winner, agreed to take over the station for the day, we're not sure if he knew quite what he was getting himself into. Running this radio station involves a lot of abuse and plenty of making a fool out of yourself. We've just gotten used to it.
Ever wondered what it's like to work in radio? Chuck, our Jack's Day Off winner, got to find out this week as we prepared for today's 24-hour change to 92.9 ChuckFM. He even got to boss us around -- but don't get used to that happening after today!
This morning, while strolling down Main Street on my way to the studio, I was accosted by a young man who kept calling me "wifey" and wanted me to hang out with him on the street corner all afternoon. Normally I would jump at the offer to make a new friend, but I had things to do this morning, so I regretfully declined.
Two thoughts ran through my head as I walked away from my new BFF: What a nice guy; it's really nice of him to follow me to my building to make sure I got there safe and Were men half as polite on Main Street in 1911?
I don't know the answer to the latter thought, but I do know that the women back then were not lucky enough to be called "wifey" by a total stranger. What I can tell you, though, are five super-cool places on Main Street that you should visit at least once.

Man, does it take a LOT of work to take a day off! Chuck, our Jack's Day Off winner, has spent the last couple of days with the Jack FM crew in our dumpy little studio, preparing for Friday's vacation/takeover. Sure, he's been doing a lot of the heavy lifting -- voice work, programming, directing the rest of us around -- but we don't trust him enough to just give him the keys and leave, so we've still got to keep an eye on him!
A round of golf at a nice course can get pricey fast. Fortunately, you can get a good deal and not break the bank if you're willing to play hookey or skip out of work early -- and let's be honest, who doesn't want to do that in the summer? Here are five of the area's best affordable (i.e., $35 for a round, with a cart, after 2 p.m. on weekdays) courses.
On Friday, Nik Wallenda will give Niagara Falls a little popularity when he tight rope walks across the Falls. Luckily for us, ABC made what their calling the "Walk of the Century," a 3-hour long time slot to ensure that the only way we'll be able to get through the whole program is to get so drunk from the Nik Wallenda Drinking Game, his walk will look like that one time we were forced to walk the line outside the local bar. We only hope that the rest of world will be so drunk they won't remember if this event will go down as one of our top live television flops.
National Nature Photography Day is as boring as it sounds. We can only look at some many photos of nature before we've had enough. And by "so many," we mean two. We decided to spice this national day up by sending one of our interns out into Buffalo and take pictures of all the beautiful "nature" the city has to offer
