We love Santa. We really do! He's probably the coolest old guy we know, spending his life making presents, managing elves and eating cookies. Truth be told, we're sort of jealous. The jolly old guy usually looks bright and cheery and not all that scary, which is yet another reason we're fans.
The Christmas season is the happiest time of year. We get to spend extra time with our family and friends, and there are endless supplies of cookies. While these few weeks are filled with tons of cheer, it's also the sappiest time of year, especially in the good ol' USA. It's the ideal time for overseas military men to surprise their loved ones, and of course, create tearjerker alert YouTube videos of it all.
Attention everyone: we now officially have T-minus eight days until Christmas, and preparation time is running out faster than we can shove holiday cookies in our mouths. We still have to buy last-minute presents, dig out those stockings from the back of our closets and make time for that awful office party.
Is there really anything better than giving or getting a high five? No way! Ok, there are tons of more awesome things. But when it comes to the complimenting game, high fives reign supreme. It's like a super-charged boost of confidence and the best way to show someone they rule.
One of the reasons we love the holidays so much is that there are tons of ways we can celebrate. Ugly Christmas sweater parties probably rank at the top of our favorites, just because wearing the ugliest cardigan ever in the name of holiday spirit is strangely fun. So what ranks towards the bottom of our favorites list? Office parties.
This past Saturday, SantaCon took over New York City. For all of you unfamiliar with this classic American holiday, it's an entire day dedicated to dressing up like Santa Claus and getting a little crazy frolicking around with fellow Saint Nick look-a-likes. It's sort of like a massive Christmas flash mob that makes you feel like you're in a strange alternate universe, but it's actually totally awesome.
Santa's elves are the greatest. For starters, they work super hard in his workshop all year round making our Christmas presents and baking delicious treats so Santa maintains that cookie belly. However, we do think these charming people are highly underrated. They're arguably the most charming part of Christmas, after all! That's why we think it's important to pay homage to the little guys and girls through one of our favorite combos of all-time: babies and costumes.
Contrary to popular belief, photobombing is super hard, and it requires a lot of skill. For starters, you have to get the timing down perfectly and do it so no one posing actually notices your moves leading up to the photobomb.
The holiday season is easily the greatest time of year, mostly because good moods are abundant and we get to eat tons and tons of cookies. While we're huge fans of Christmastime, it does require a lot of prep. Between the endless cooking and gift shopping, stress can build up pretty quickly, and that brings nothing but bad moods and muddled minds.
Ladies and gentleman, we're back at it again -- it's another round of dogs in holiday costumes. This time, however, there's a huge difference-- we're not responsible in the least bit! See, these dogs did it all to themselves.
According to those trusty old Mayans, we only have three days until the end of the world. December 21st is the supposed day of doom, but we don't know why everyone's freaking out so much; this could finally be the arrival of zombie babes. Plus, we're all going down anyway, so we might as well celebrate. That's where La Fin Du Monde ("The End of the World") beer comes in.
No matter what the holiday, we always love getting extra festive. It's not like we need an excuse to wear awful Christmas sweaters or take part in a harmless snowman prank, but doing that stuff during the season makes us look a little less crazy. The season also provides the perfect excuse to go way overboard in the decorating department.
