Elmwood Avenue -- it’s such an artsy place, isn’t it? There's just a different feel when you’re down in the Village. Therefore, it’s the perfect location to host an art festival.
The heart of Buffalo’s Polonia celebrated the 33rd Annual Dozynki Polish Harvest Festival at Corpus Christi Church this weekend (Friday, August 17-Sunday, August 19), sending polka music and the smell of pierogis through the air.

Are you full yet? Italians seem to enjoy eating more food even after their stomachs might want a break, so it's no wonder the Italian Festival was just a week after the Taste of Buffalo! There were four more full days (Thursday, July 12–Sunday, July 15) of food to go around in North Buffalo’s Little Italy for the 25th Anniversary of the event on Hertel Avenue.
Eating your way through the Italian Festival can be tricky. You want just the right experience. I checked out where the crowds were, the best displays and, of course, where my nose led me.
For a foodie -- or just a hungry Buffalonian -- there's nothing better than the Taste of Buffalo. The 29th annual festival took place this past weekend, featuring 51 restaurants, four food trucks and seven wineries selling over 200 food items!
