Metal legends Accept will return from a two-year absence later this summer when they release their 14th studio album, 'Blind Rage.'

Due out August 15 on Nuclear Blast Records, the new 11-track set will be accompanied by a headlining European tour, as well as a run of U.S. live dates, and promises more of the melodic aggression Accept fans have come to expect. "The cover artwork done by Daniel Goldsworthy shows the beast coming over us -- in blind rage -- all over the planet," explains guitarist Wolf Hoffmann. "Wherever we go, whenever you turn on the TV, there is blind rage in the works -- either natural catastrophes or man-made madness."

With an extensive body of work behind them, the band members feel a heavy responsibility when recording new material, and Hoffmann insists Accept approached 'Blind Rage' with their legacy firmly in mind. "Whatever we do on record, it's there for eternity," he points out. "If you do something great it's not something people throw away tomorrow. Songs we wrote 30 years ago are still loved by fans today. That teaches you to be careful with what you release and make sure you like it yourself. With 'Blind Rage,' we have a collection of songs with the classic Accept feel, and -- as always -- there's an overriding theme of aggression and rage in our music. Otherwise, it wouldn't be metal."

'Blind Rage' will be preceded by the first single, 'Stampede,' due out July 11. Fans can pre-order the album here and get more information at the band's official site.
