Reba Williams is living proof that you are never too old to learn.

The 106-year-old woman from Columbus, Ohio has finally gotten her high school diploma after failing to graduate when she was supposed to way back in 1925.

Williams was all set to graduate from Mount Vernon High School until she refused to read a book that was assigned to her, claiming she had already read it and didn’t want to read it again.

A recent newspaper profile of Williams’ former employer helped bring attention to her story and school district officials unanimously agreed to give her the long overdue diploma, which  they did during a bedside ceremony in her home.

Williams took it all in stride, saying, ““Oh, for heaven’s sake. Isn’t that wonderful?”

Now that she’s got the high school diploma, it’s time to start thinking about college applications.
